While some vets, nurses and practice managers love protocols and guidelines, others see them as a threat to clinical freedom. Cornish vet Lizzie Whiting is a passionate advocate of the Quality Improvement (QI) approach advocated by RCVS Knowledge. She finds the ‘whole team’ approach to problem solving which is an integral part of successful QI, a huge help and believes adopting QI can be of benefit to any size or type of practice.
